Car wash fund-raiser
The Shelton Youth Service Bureau Youth2Youth group hold fund-raiser 9-2 p.m., at the Shelton Community Center, 41 Church Street. This event will help fund scholarships for Youth2Youth members to attend the annual drug free conference this summer.

Shelton Senior Girl Scout Troop 60053 presents the “Mr. And Mrs.” Masquerade Prom Fundraiser to benefit the Troop’s 2015 European Trip Fund.
The event will be for parents only, at the First United Methodist Church, 188 Rocky Rest Road. Music by 2 Tone Entertainment, and buffet dinner by Cassidy and Bourdeau Catering. Photos and flowers available for purchase at the event. Tickets cost $20, and are available until May 22.

Wandering in China
Travel writer, photographer and Shelton resident J.M. Bhandary will share scenes from his trip exploring Beijing, Shanghai, Xian (home of the Terracotta soldiers), cruising down the Yangtze River and crossing the Three River Gorges Dam. He is originally from Mangalore and his wife, Hilkka Bhandary, is from Finland. Jay and Hilkka have been residents of Shelton for the past 37 years.
