Annual PPT appointments can cause parents and caregivers enormous discomfort. Learn about your rights and having your concerns heard in a free informational session. Presenters will offer the six guiding principles of IDEA as well as what to do when the school says “no.”

Teen Volunteer Orientation
Teens 12-19 can get a head start on next year’s volunteer requirement, train now and get the hours over the summer. Parents are expected to attend, cannot be used for court or disciplinary board assignments, drop in.

Teens 13-18 drop in for a light lunch and discussion of Patricia McCormick’s Never Fall Down.
Library LEGO Club
Construction session for kids 3-12 years and caregivers; library provides Legos and Duplos, kids build themed creations to display, Legos cannot be taken home and kids should not bring any of their own blocks.

KSRC Volunteer Orientation
Teens entering grades 7 and up considering helping with Plumb Memorial Library’s Kids Summer Reading Club need to attend this orientation session-hours completed after school is over for the summer count toward 2014 Shelton High School community service requirements.
