Henry Charles LaClair, “Chuck”, 72, formerly of Stratford, CT, died Saturday, August 11, 2012 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was the husband of Patricia (Joyce) LaClair. His mother, Frances (Bellman) LaClair lives in Shelton.
Born in Colchester, VT, he moved to Connecticut after serving in the United States Navy.
For many years he worked for General Electric at the Bridgeport plant and was then transferred to Waterford, NY.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years; his mother, Frances (Bellman) LaClair of Shelton, CT; brother, Thomas LaClair of Ansonia, CT; two daughters, Sherri A. Guile of Cambridge and Nichole Porter of Glens Falls, NY; grandchildren, Ashley and Matthew Guile; sister-in-law Frances Weed; nieces, Donna Nemer and Laura Woodcock and several cousins.
A private memorial service will be held Friday, Nov. 9, in Cambridge, N.Y. Burial of ashes will be at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Ackley & Ross Funeral Home, 73 West Main Street, Cambridge, N.Y., handled arrangements.
