The Shelton Pop Warner Mitey Mites finished their regular season 7-1 and advanced to the Southern Connecticut championship game after dominating playoff tournament wins against Newington (32-0) and Stratford (27-6).
The offense was fueled by running back Brett Wadeka and two passing touchdowns from quarterback Tanner Chernowsky to Vinny Defeo.
The defense was sparked by solid play from cornerback Logan Carey and timely interceptions by Aidan King and Tommy Connery.
In the semifinal game, Stratford could not stop Wadeka — who ran behind a dominating offense line comprised of Ed Grenados, Dante Beltz, Joey Bisset, Jacob Villalobos and Mason Stanko.
Shelton will host the Fairfield Giants Mitey Mite team in the championship on Monday night at Gracie Field in Shelton.
