Paraska Bondaruk

Paraska Bondaruk, 89, of Stratford, reposed into life eternal on October 9, 2012 at St. Vincent Medical Center. She was the widow of George Bondaruk.

Mrs. Bondaruk was born on July 1, 1923 to the late Leon and Milliana Drevanik.

During World War II, she was employed as a secretary at the Russian embassy in Washington, D.C. After her marriage, she continued her secretarial career at various manufacturing companies in the greater Bridgeport area.

She developed a keen interest in gardening at an early age and had a vast knowledge of plants and trees.

Mrs. Bondaruk remained devoted to her Russian Orthodox faith throughout her life. She was a very loving and caring mother and wife. She will be missed dearly by her family, especially her loving and devoted son, Timothy, with whom she shared her home.

She is survived by two beloved sons, Mark Bondaruk and his wife, Edwina, of Shelton and Timothy Bondaruk of Stratford.

She was predeceased by a brother, Daniel Drevanik and a sister, Dorothy Drevanik.

Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford handled arrangements. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport.
