Prescription medication disposal —

The Greater Valley Abuse Action Council (VSAAC) in collaboration with the area police department have launched an initiative to help residents safely dispose of unused and unneeded medications. A secure drop box for expired and unused prescription medications is in the lobby of the Shelton Police Department, 85 Wheeler Street. Residents may walk in and discard their medication in the secure drop box at anytime, no questions asked. Syringes will not be accepted.
