U.S. Constitution turns 225

This year’s Constitution Week marks the 225th anniversary of the U.S. Constitution. The week runs Sept. 17–23.

The U.S. Constitution is the oldest constitution still in active use in the world and protects the individual liberties of all citizens through written law, according to officials of the Sara Riggs Humphrey’s-Mary Silliman Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
