Morris E. Booth Sr., 84 of Shelton, CT, died on August 15, 2012 at Geer Nursing in Canaan, CT after a short illness.
Born in Shelton to Emma and Edgar Booth on November 20, 1927, he was very close to his father and wanted to go everywhere with him when he lost him at an early age.
His father was a master carpenter and cabinet maker like the rest of his ancestors. He learned his trade in a mill and always loved to mention the mill he worked in and owned.
He was proud of what he did for a living and built his own home which he lived in since the 1950s. Fifty plus years working in construction made him a strong man.
Predeceased by his wife Lola, he is survived by his son Morris Booth Jr. and his wife Joan of Winsted, CT; his granddaughter Rachel Jarvis and her husband William; his great grandson Evan, all of Naugatuck, and his beloved Maltese dog Christine. There will be no calling hours.
A private family graveside service will be at Riverside Cemetery, Shelton, where Morris Booth Sr. will begin his journey with his wife Lola, the love of his life, at his side. God bless him; he will surely be missed.
The JAMES T. TOOHEY & SON FUNERAL HOME, 92 HOWE AVE., SHELTON has been entrusted with arrangements.
