Rec Notes: Abs, hips and butt targeting class

The Shelton Parks and Recreation Department offers classes at the Community Center, 41 Church Street. Pre-register in person; cash or check. After a class has started, people may still sign up. Information: 203-331-4120.

Boot Camp — Wednesdays, 7:30-8:30 p.m., Aug. 22, eight weeks, $45.

Zumba — Thursdays, 7:30-8:30 p.m., starting Aug. 23, eight weeks, $45.

Gentle Yoga — Saturdays, 10:45-12:15 p.m., starting Aug. 25, eight weeks, $45.

Body Sculpting — Mondays and Wednesdays, 8:30–9:30 a.m., starting Aug. 27, eight weeks, $58. No classes Sept. 3 and Oct. 8.

Abs, Hip and Butt Targeting — Mondays and Wednesdays, 5:30-6:15 p.m., beginning Sept. 5, eight weeks, $58. No class Oct. 8.

Body Sculpting — Fridays, 8:30–9:30 a.m., beginning Sept. 7, eight weeks, $29.

Flow Yoga — Prior yoga experience required for the class Saturdays, 9:15-10:15 a.m., starting Sept. 8. Runs eight weeks, $45. No class Sept. 29.

Iyengar Yoga — Mondays, 5:30-6:30 p.m., beginning Sept. 10; 8 weeks, $45. No class Oct. 8.

Flow Yoga — Prior yoga experience required for the class Wednesdays, beginning Sept. 19, 10-11 a.m., eight weeks, $45.

Music & Movement — Wednesdays, 10–10:45 a.m.,  starting Sept. 19, six weeks, $60.

Chinese Internal Healing Exercise Class — Wednesdays, 7-8:30 p.m., beginning Sept. 26, four weeks, $70.

Children’s Tap & Ballet — Saturdays, beginning Sept. 29, 10 weeks for $80. Times: three years at 10:30–11:15 a.m.; 4 years at 11:15–noon; 5 and 6 years at 12–12:45 p.m. No class Oct. 20
