Richard H. Jager

Richard H. Jager, recently of Seymour, CT and a longtime Shelton resident, died Aug.1, at the age of 61.

“Rick” grew up in Westport, Ct, where at the age of 13, he began his first business, Harbor Marine Services.

After graduating from Brown University, he incorporated his business as Subsea Associates and Waterfront Associates, specializing in designs, inspections and repairs of underwater structures.

Professionally he was active in many organizations and served on the board of the Association of Diving Contractors.

He was a long-time resident of Shelton, Ct., where he raised his family.

While living in Shelton, he served on the WPCA and was vice president of Clean Sound, a volunteer organization developed to keep the local marshes and river banks clean of debris.

Rick is survived by his wife, M. Suzanne Jager, his daughter Katharine, his son Mason, sister Linda Sochasky of New Brunswick, CA and his brother, Steven Jager of Tennessee.

Rick was a dedicated friend and was known for his laughter and good nature. He will be remembered with love and affection by his family and friends.

His life will be celebrated at Silver Sands State Park, Milford, in the upper park, at 2 pm on Sat., August 25.
