A prayer shawl ceremony was held at Wesley Village in Shelton to bless more than 100 prayer shawls and lap robes that were hand-knit by staff, residents and volunteers from the campus communities.

The event featured a candle-lighting, reading and blessing of the shawls. Staff from Masonicare Home Health and Hospice also participated in the event. The shawls were donated to the organization to share with patients in need and those receiving end of life care.

Since 2004, Wesley Village has donated more than 3,000 prayer shawls to provide comfort and peace to those in need. Volunteers of the campus work together throughout the year to raise funds to purchase yarn and knit shawls to share them with others.
