‘Legally Blonde’ continues Friday

Continuing Friday, the Youth CONNection community theater group will stage Legally Blonde.

Now in its 29th year, the youth group is for high school and college students. The Youth CONNection Players are part of Center Stage Theatre.The group is committed to providing quality and affordable musical theater to residents of Shelton and surrounding communities.

Legally Blonde, based on the movie of the same nam, tells the story of a woman who’s far more than the typical blonde, according to Center Stage. Elle Woods, a Southern California sorority girl, is as headstrong as she is dainty. Her boyfriend goes off to Harvard Law School, leaving her for “someone serious.” Not one to settle at this loss, Elle decides to get into Harvard Law and prove she’s got what it takes to become serious on her own terms. The musical is described as having great song, show-stopping dance numbers and enormous heart, guaranteed to charm and delight Center Stage audiences.

Legally Blonde will play at Shelton High School at 8 p.m. on July 27, 28, Aug. 3 and 4, as well as a 2 p.m. show on Aug. 4. Tickets for production are $20 for adults and $10 for students and may be obtained by calling 203-225-6079 or online by visiting www.centerstageshelton.com.
