Teachers take part in arts program

Shelton High School English teachers Jeff Moriarty and Kim Pittman took part in the Regional Center for the Arts (RCA) in The Play’s the Thing summer program which recently hosted students from China.

Twenty graduates from Jilin High in China spent July 10 with students at the Regional Center for the Arts (RCA) in The Play’s the Thing summer program.

The students, who are in the United States for two weeks, were in Connecticut for three days.

The Play’s the Thing is RCA’s summer enrichment for area students entering ninth grade in September. The playwriting program in which students brainstorm, write and perform a play. Students from Norwalk, Stratford, Trumbull, Bridgeport, Shelton and Region 9 are attending.
