Clifford Clayton Hartmann, 88, of Trumbull, passed away July 7, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Manor. His daughter, Elaine McFadden and her husband John live in Shelton.
Clifford was born in Bridgeport to the late Otto and Anna Hartmann, and was a longtime Trumbull resident.
He loved his family and church, his cat, and befriended everyone he met. Right to the end, no one ever had a negative thing to say about him.
He was a member of the Teamsters Local 191 and was employed by William B. Meyers Moving Company for many years.
Clifford is survived by his three daughters, Doreen Gagner and her husband Lawrence of Seymour, Elaine McFadden and her husband John of Shelton, Alice Caple and her husband William of Ansonia; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son, Charles Hartmann, and the last of a generation of 15 brothers and sisters.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church 1734 Huntington Turnpike, with the Reverend Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may greet the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements are in care of the Cyril F.
