State Regent Jolene Mullen, of the Connecticut State Society of the Daughters of the American Colonists was accompanied by Shelton resident and DAC member, Mary Rozsa when they presented an award to cadet Katie Schumacher at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. The Chelsea Clock award was presented on behalf of the National Society of the DAC and is given to a female cadet who has demonstrated the highest degree of initiative, competence and scholarship in the discipline of engineering.
