The Valley Shakespeare Festival offers a free outdoor Shakespeare play in the summer. “I think it’s a great thing for the Valley,” said Barbara Lang of Shelton, who attended the fund-raiser with Jeanette Kovacs of Shelton.

Last year’s inaugural production by the Valley Shakespeare Festival took place at Shelton’s Veterans Memorial Park (the Riverwalk). Go to vsfestival.org for details.
