Congressman Jim Himes (D-4) volunteered for TEAM, Inc., by delivering Meals on Wheels to Valley elderly who are homebound.

“It was a pleasure volunteering with TEAM to deliver Meals on Wheels to the elderly in Shelton,” said Himes. “TEAM has done remarkable work providing important services to Connecticut families and individuals who are the most in need of assistance, and I look forward to working with them again in the future.”

TEAM President Richard Knoll said that the Meals on Wheels program is critical to permitting seniors to live at home as long as possible.

Throughout the Valley, Meals on Wheels delivers a daily meal to elderly residents who are confined to their homes. TEAM’s drivers deliver to 214 clients each day.  Last year TEAM delivered 52,919 meals to 348 Meals on Wheels Clients in the Valley area.
