Monroe student now on stage in college play

Theresa Curran of Shelton is now appearing in the rock musical “Spring Awakening” at Western Connecticut State University.

“Spring Awakening” depicts 19th century German teenagers in their journey to self-discovery and “awakening.” The show is based on the work of German dramatist Frank Wedekind, with book and lyrics by Steven Sater and music by Duncan Sheik.

Performances are from Feb. 27 to March 16 in the Berkshire Theatre on the WCSU Midtown campus, 181 White St., Danbury. Performances, open to the public, are at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, with three 2 p.m. matinees on March 9, 10 and 16.

Tickets are $25 for general admission and $15 for senior citizens and non-WCSU students with I.D. WCSU students with a valid identification are admitted free. For tickets or more information, call 203-837-TIXX or  visit wcsu.edu/tickets.
